Today we had our shift 2 outing and I had a great time on an island. Today we had great weather so thank God for that, sunny the whole day. In fact many other people from else where also joined us on our outing and I think we had 35 people going with us.
Some guys prepared food from the pantry the day before and so we just brought our own meat and grill over to the island for a BBQ, really nice right, I know. Haha.
So we walked to the jetty, paid for our boat ride and got over in two boats. When we got there, we were blessed to find a half-ed oil drum, so we just placed our grill over it and started a fire with the dried palm leaves and wood. We later also used charcoal, so I also learnt something new today. Haha.
Some of he guys went para-sailing, and others just snorkeled, and in this island we managed see some fish, and there are many of different colours and some of them are big too. But there were no corals, just the sea bed below so it is not as nice as it could have been.
We also brought balls and a frizzbee so it was really fun. Lunch was good too. Meat slices and huge German Sausages, along with bread so it was really filling.
I came back totally tired and took a shower before going to dinner. After dinner we had a farewell party for the people who had finished their two years on board, so it was really fun time because of the program put up, the people leaving were told to dress up as stars going to an oscar night, then we were all their fans just screaming our lungs out, so it was a really fun night. Haha.
Long day for me, I also swapped shifts with someone for tomorrow, so I will be working in the afternoon shift again tomorrow. Which means I have the whole day until 4 free. So hopefully I will be able to do some nice stuff tomorrow.
